TW7 - American Indian Voices presents Johnny Moses

This album features one of the world's greatest Native American storytellers, Johnny Moses, born and raised on the Northwest coast.  Sharing songs and stories with great sensitvity to traditional Native American culture, including heart-warming huymor.

He is a speaker of seven Native American languages.  The opening song is sung in a traditional way, at a NW coast Potlatch, in the Nuuchanhnulth language.  (Nootka, west coast Vancouver Island BC, and the Makah tribe of NW Washington State)

This is the first album I sold everywhere to promote Johnny's gifted storytelling. Perfect for all age groups. Perfect for tourism.

One of the very shining jewels on this album is Johnny’s family’s Potlatch song sung in English. It is a message of how the people come together in the powerfully moving ceremony of a Potlatch. The tears of emotions combined with messages from the heart and songs of this kind of Native ceremony create sacred water.  The tears of joy unite all people present.  “The tears of joy become the most powerful river of joy I have ever witnessed in my lifetime."  It is not only a super happy song; it has his power in it.
